JIWAKA stands for JImi, WAghi & KAmbia. Sometimes known as Mid-Waghi, Jiwaka has now been declared a Province and will no longer be part of Western Highlands Provice after 2012. With archeological findings dating back thousands of years, Jiwaka, the heart of PNG has only been explored by western civilisation in the last 5 to 6 decades.
